Last September 16, APMDD organized the International Forum on Tax Justice, in cooperation with the organizations in the AFTJA Coordinating Committee to discuss challenges and initiatives on various tax justice issues.
Last September 16, APMDD organized the International Forum on Tax Justice, in cooperation with the organizations in the AFTJA Coordinating Committee to discuss challenges and initiatives on various tax justice issues which include Women and Gender Justice in Tax Systems; Tax Justice and Extractive Industries; Tax Justice and International Agreements (DTAs and FTAs); Illicit Financial Flows and Tax Abuses of Multinational Corporations; and Trade Unions and Workers’ Movements Initiatives on Tax Issues.
Among the presenters were representatives of member-organizations of the TaFJA Coordinating Committee. Women’s groups, trade unions and labor groups, peoples organizations, among others, actively participated. Two Philippine Senators also sent their staff to attend the forum.
